The basketball Cats did something last Saturday against Auburn they hadn't done yet this season...surprise Cal with their play. In a good way.
UK whomped and whooped up on the Tigers once things started to click in the second half.
And most importantly, the Cats did it without freshman big-man Willie Cauley-Stein who stayed home in Lexington for treatment on his injured knee and likely will do the same Tuesday when the team makes the trip to Alabama for a nine o'clock tip.
So what's Cal's take on the new-found fire in the bellies of his guys?
Well, it's what you'd expect if you've heard him talk about players all season long.
