The UK baseball team took in practice at Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville today.

The Bat Cats take on Kansas in the regional round, Friday at 2 ET on ESPNews and ESPN3.com

Head coach Gary Henderson was excited to get out on the field and get his team ready to win the program's first game one of a regional in quite some time.

UK has dropped its last three regional round openers during a six year span.

That includes the Gary, Indiana regional against Kent State that junior pitcher / first baseman A.J. Reed remembers well.

Hear from Reed and Henderson in the video.
