Bat Cat Kyle Cody Embracing New Role

Sophomore pitcher goes from starter to bullpen as tightness in forearm demands change.
Sophomore Bat Cat right-hand pitcher Kyle Cody developed some tightness in his forearm this season and moved from a starting role to the bullpen.

He has five saves on the season so far and overall, Cody is doing just fine in his new role throwing the heat.

But he's got to get a second pitch with the breaking ball and even start working in a better curve ball according to head coach Gary Henderson.

No word yet on when Cody will move back into the starting rotation, though that is still the plan.

Hear from Henderson and Cody in the video on the move to reliever.
