Back to Blue v. White

Back to Blue v. White

"They've been humbled." Mark Stoops knows his team has lots to work on.
It was arguably the biggest day in program history in recent memory for the football Cats.

The Blue vs. White spring game drew roughly 50,000 Solid Blue fans on Saturday...that's more than Texas A&M, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio State and others.

One of the bright spots at Commonwealth Stadium amidst some tough going and sloppy play was sophomore QB Jalen Whitlow.

Many had pegged Whitlow as the third string guy behind Max Smith and Patrick Towles under center, but he really outplayed his practice performances so far.

Completing 17 of his 28 pass attempts for 193 yards and two touchdowns, Whitlow later said in postgame interviews that he has to carry himself as more than just an average Joe...and be more like Peyton Manning...bringing some swagger and broad shoulders to the field.

Mark Stoops on Whitlow's statement and more in the attached video.
