The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Harlan and Letcher Counties through 6 a.m. Saturday. Elevations above 2,000 feet could see accumulations of snow between 1 and 3 inches overnight with hazardous driving conditions.

Midnight Update: Scattered snow showers continue to push south through the Commonwealth. Most areas are approaching 32°, but little to no accumulation is still expected. Eastern Kentucky is still on track to see 1 to 3 inches in the higher elevations.

Have a great weekend!

Scattered snow showers will continue through Saturday morning as a trough of low pressure pushes south through the region. With surface temperatures slightly above freezing, little to no accumulation of snow is expected in most areas, outside of the high terrain of eastern Kentucky. By morning, temperatures will fall into the low 20s, colder than we've seen lately.

By Saturday afternoon, we should only be seeing a few flurries with skies beginning to clear late in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 30s with northerly winds up to 10mph.

Sunday will be dry with temperatures ranging from the mid 20s in the morning to the mid 30s in the afternoon with a mix of clouds and sunshine.
