A dry and warm evening will continue across the region with light winds and muggy conditions. Partly cloudy skies tonight will keep temperatures in the low 70s for overnight lows.

Partly cloudy skies will persist on Friday with afternoon and evening thunderstorms expected. Thunderstorms will likely develop to our west and then slide into central Kentucky. The best chance for storms will be west of I-75. A few storms may be strong, but no organized severe weather is expected at this time. Temperatures will jump back above average with highs expected near 90 degrees.

Thunderstorms will become more widespread this weekend as a weak stationary front remains draped over the region, ahead of our next cold front. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s with off and on storms both Saturday and Sunday.
