Increasing Rain Chances For Independence Day

Rain chances will increase as we approach the Independence Day Holiday, with below normal temperatures continuing as well.
Midnight Update:  We still have a few isolated rain showers that will move through Central Kentucky overnight, yet most of the rain will diminish by early Wednesday, with some patchy dense fog developing.  The latest weather models are continuing to show the possibility for a good soaking rain on Independence Day across the viewing area.  Temperatures will remain below normal for the rest of the week, with warmer conditions returning by early next week.  For your latest weather updates:  https://www.facebook.com/MeteorologistJasonMyers

The chance for rain looks to increase over the next few days, with the best chance for rainfall coverage for Independence Day. Temperatures will remain below normal for the rest of the week, with warmer temperatur...es returning for next week.

Tonight: We will continue to have the chance for an isolated rain shower overnight with patchy dense fog developing. Overnight low temperatures will be around 64 degrees.

Wednesday: The unsettled weather pattern will continue for Wednesday with more scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and a high of 81 degrees.

Thursday, 4th of July: The latest weather models are showing a good soaking rain possible for the 4th of July, with warm and humid conditions. Mostly cloudy skies will be around throughout Thursday with rain possible throughout the day, and a high of 79 degrees.

Friday – Weekend: Plenty of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue for Friday, with a high of 80 degrees. Thunderstorms become a little more isolated or widely scattered for the weekend, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Next Week: Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s for early next week, with late day thunderstorm chances continuing.
