Afternoon Update:

We're cloudy, cool with clouds & snow showers.  Look for a light dusting of snow in the Blue Grass, especially on the grassy areas, in our eastern counties, look for 0.25" -0.50" of accumulation.

We're gearing up for a cold weekend ahead.

Good morning!

Although it's the first day of March & the first day of Meteorological Spring, it's not going to feel like it.  Snow showers are in the forecast under cloudy skies.  A dusting of snowfall is possible in the Blue Grass with up to a half inch possible in eastern KY.  That light wintry mix will create a few slick spots on the roadways. If it's your get-a-way Friday, give yourself a few extra minutes on the roads to take into account the wet roads.  Highs today should top out in the mid to upper 30s.  Look for overnight low to drop down into the mid 20s.

Saturday & Sunday will be CHILLY! We're only forecasting highs in the low to mid 30s.  It's been awhile, but finally, more peaks of sunshine are in store by Sunday!

See you on ABC 36 News at Noon for your Weather Trivia Question!

Today is the first day of Meteorological Spring. It's not going to feel like it today! @ABC36Lexington #GMK http://t.co/CCexWl4Aij
