Midnight Update: It's already getting very chilly outside this evening! Lexington has fallen to 24° already, but winds are falling under 10mph in most areas. It still looks like many areas in the Bluegrass will fall into the upper teens for the Wednesday morning commute and bus ride. Don't forget about your pets, plants, and pipes in this cold weather!

Meteorologist Michael Estime will have the latest on our latest blast of cold air starting at 5 a.m. on ABC 36 Good Morning Kentucky.

High pressure continues to build into the region. This will help winds to die down this evening and begin to clear our skies. Unfortunately, those are ideal cooling conditions overnight. By morning we could be in the upper teens with mostly clear skies.

We will see mostly sunny skies through the day Wednesday, but it will stay chilly. Most areas will be a few degrees cooler in the afternoon compared to Tuesday with highs in the low and mid 30s. Winds will be lighter, out of the northwest between 5 and 10 mph.

Thursday will also start in the upper teens, but will be slightly warmer in the afternoon with highs in the upper 30s. Our next batch of rain showers arrive Thursday night.
