A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for south-central and eastern Kentucky through 10 P.M. this evening. Freezing rain and sleet will cause some travel concerns this evening as temperatures remain below freezing.

A band of mixed precipitation is sliding across the region this evening. Bringing slush and icy spots to some area roads. The locations being effected are the southern and eastern counties of the Bluegrass and into eastern Kentucky.

Multiple reports of slushy conditions and icy roads are coming into the newsroom. Use caution if you are heading out this evening, with temperatures remaining below freezing.

The band of sleet, snow and freezing rain will continue to impact the same locations over the next several hours. After 10 P.M. this evening the mix should push off to the east and a fairly dry overnight is expected.
