High pressure, centered over the Great Lakes will continue to keep it dry and cool across the region over the next several day. Tonight the clouds will clear allowing temperatures to once again drop into the mid to upper 20s.

After a cold start with plenty of sunshine, afternoon clouds will return on Thursday. High temperatures will peak in the upper 40s in the Bluegrass and low 50s in southern Kentucky. The winds will be out of the north at 5 to 10 mph. Although extra afternoon clouds are expected, no rain is in the forecast.

More sunshine is expected to end the work week on Friday as high temperatures return into the low 50s area wide.
