Midnight Update: Scattered snow showers continue across the region this evening, but temperatures are struggling to make it to freezing in some places. Lexington is one of those cities, currently sitting at 33°. With the delay in falling below freezing, it looks like some areas will wake up to a dusting of snow at best.

Watch for a few icy spots on the roads Thursday morning, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will have the latest on the wintry precipitation still left in the forecast this week starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky on ABC 36.
___________________________________________________________

Our wintry mix is starting to transition into snow this evening. As of 7 p.m. Wednesday, ground temperatures are a bit too warm for accumulations, but as we head into Thursday morning, we are expecting many areas to drop down to about 30°. This could allow for some minor accumulations, from a dusting to 1/2" of snow and sleet by the morning commute.

Temperatures will climb back into the mid 30s again Thursday afternoon, switching our scattered snow showers back to a wintry mix.

As we head into Friday morning, more scattered snow will be possible with temperatures ranging from near 30° in the morning to the mid 30s in the afternoon.
