Midnight Update: High pressure has begun building in and skies have already cleared across the region. Unfortunately, temperatures have already dipped into the upper 30s and low 40s in southern Kentucky. Lexington is currently sitting at  39°. By Tuesday morning, we will need the heavier coats to handle the mid 20s.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will let you know what weather is outside your door before you head out to school and work in the morning starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.

Skies will continue to clear this evening as temperatures drop into the mid 20s by Tuesday morning.

After a chilly start to the day, we will stay below average in the afternoon by about 10°. Highs will be near 50°, but the abundant sunshine should help us feel a bit warmer.

Temperatures will slowly climb through the rest of the week.
