Richmond Flash Flooding

Locally heavy rain fell in Richmond this evening from 6 P.M. through 7:30 P.M. prompting Flash Flooding downtown.

Radar estimated rainfall totals were between 2"-3". There were no severe storms in the region, but heavy rain lead to damage from Flash Flooding.

According to the Madison County Emergency Management, a water rescue was performed west of downtown in an area which commonly experiences flooding.

Several other roads east of Richmond with low water crossings, also experienced Flash Flooding.
