Richmond Man Sentenced For Putting Rat Poison In Wife's Coffee

A Richmond man who put rat poison into his wife's coffee will spend the next six years in jail.

According to the Richmond Register newspaper William Cain was denied probation Friday when a judge sentenced him to six and a half years in jail.

Cain pled guilty to manslaughter charges last month.

Investigators say his wife called police last May and told them Cain had put rat poison in her coffee pot.
