Versailles Police said alcohol is suspected in a Sunday night crash that killed a five year old boy, and injured seven others in Woodford County.

The Woodford County Coroner confirms Blake Cohorn, 5, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cohorn was a kindergartener at Harrison Elementary School in Fayette County.

Police said they suspect alcohol could have caused Alfonso Diaz-Diaz, 26 to drive his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta West bound in the East bound lane on US 60 around 9:55 p.m.
Roman Gerzacio-Carrillo, 22, was a passenger in the Jetta.

Police said Diaz-Diaz  struck a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina in a head on collission.

Blake Cohorn was in a passenger in the front seat of the Lumina.
The driver, Rocky Cohorn, 26, and another front seat passenger, Wendy Cohorn, 23 were taken to UK Hospital for treatment.

Donny Cohorn, 26, Katlyn Cohorn, 3, and Landon Cohorn, 4 1/2 months were transported to Frankfort Regional Hospital for their injuries.

Both occupants of the Jetta are also at UK Hospital.

Grief Counselors are on hand at Harrison Elementary School.  The school's principal said Blake Cohorn excelled in the classroom, and had just received word he had exceptional math and reading scores.
