Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Reportedly Abusing Her Children In A Park

A Woman accused of beating her two young children at a Lexington park plead not guilty to the charges Wednesday.
A woman has pleaded not guilty to two counts of criminal abuse for reportedly abusing her two young children in Coolvan Park in Lexington.

Police say a neighbor called them when she says she saw Tanya Johnson beat her children with a belt.

When police arrived they say they found her 3-year-old and 6-year-old son with several bruises on their body. Police say the 3-year-old also had a large contusion on his eye for reportedly being pushed into a wall.

Johnson is due back in court on September 1oth.
