A woman died in a Lexington car crash Monday morning, and police think a medical problem could have contributed to the accident.

Police say a woman was driving through the Pleasant Ridge Drive intersection around 9:15 when she hit a van. The crash backed up traffic until around 10:30 a.m. The woman died later. Her name hasn't been released.

The driver of the van wasn't hurt.
