A driver lost control in Madison County on Thursday morning, sending her car into some gas pumps and killing her.
The accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. on Battlefield Memorial Highway just outside Berea.
Madison County Sheriff's Department said the woman lost control on a curve, went off the road and flipped her car.
The car struck three gas pumps at a nearby Kingston Shell Mart store.
That caused a gas leak, according to authorities.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name has not been released.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The Kingston Shell Mart store is open but the gas pumps are closed until the State Fire Marshall can inspect the site.
