A woman was found dead in an apartment on Nancy Hanks Road in Lexington.
The fire department says they were called by the apartment complex's manager about a fire in a unit.
When investigators got to the scene, they say there wasn't a fire, but they did find the woman's body.
They are unsure whether the fire killed the woman or not.
Her name is expected to be released Saturday following an autopsy.
