Woman Charged with Child Abuse

A woman is behind bars accused of abusing her two young children.

Lexington Police said a neighbor of Tanya Johnson’s called about the abuse.

Police said when they arrived they found Johnson’s two sons, ages three and six, with several bruises.

They said the three year old also had a large contusion near his eye from being pushed into a wall.

Johnson was arrested and is charged with two counts of first degree criminal abuse.
