ABC 36 News has new information in a story we recently brought you about a disabled Lexington man who was found living in filth.

The man's caregiver has now been charged in the case. Lexington police say Betty Wilson is charged with one count of neglect. She has already bonded out of jail.

It all began when the fire department was called to this home on Shawnee Avenue for a possible gas leak. There wasn't any leak, but crews say the home was filled with garbage. The city removed the man, condemned the house and turned off the utilities.

The investigation, first by social workers and then police, led to Wilson's arrest.
