Woman Charged With Burglary In Madison County

Jennifer Rawlins, 37, was arrested after police say she unlawfully entered a home and assaulted a woman.
Richmond police say they responded to a residence on Keri Ann Court to investigate a reported disturbance. 

Upon arrival, officers learned from the residents that Jennifer L. Rawlins, age 37, Jack’s Creek Road, had unlawfully entered the home and assaulted a female visitor to the residence.

Police say according to the male resident, his girlfriend, their two children, and his girlfriend’s mother were visiting the residence when Rawlins, the male resident’s estranged wife, barged into the home and started assaulting his current girlfriend.

According to authorities, Rawlins reportedly struck the female victim several times in the face and head and pulled out a portion of her mother’s hair before leaving the scene.

Police found Rawlins in the parking lot of the Saratoga Bar & Grill and was taken into custody. She is charged with second degree burglary and was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
