A woman is in custody two weeks after police said another woman was kicked, punched and cut at Fayette Mall in Lexington.

Investigators said two people reportedly jumped a young woman at the mall on January 15, 2013.

Police said a warrant was out for Nicole Bewley.

Authorities said she turned herself in to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday.

Investigators said she was one of two people involved in the attack.  She is charged with assault.

Investigators said they weren't sure why the attacked occurred, but that Bewley knew the reported victim.
