A woman was badly hurt when she crashed into a tree in Bourbon County early Monday morning.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Hume Bedford Pike.

Police said the woman was driving away from Paris when she veered off the road, crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into a tree.

Firefighters had to cut her from the car.

She was taken to UK Hospital with serious injuries to her legs, according to police.

Police said drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash.
