The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Floyd County resident on drug related charges.
Police say Maria Keathley, 39, attempted to purchase narcotics from an undercover officer. According to investigators, Keathley, of Banner, Kentucky, traveled from Floyd County to Lawrence County for the purpose of purchasing several oxycontin 30 mg. tablets.
The incident occurred in Louisa, Kentucky. Police say Keathley was also in possession of several hydrocodone pills and a large amount of cash. She was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
