Woman Accused Of Trying To Shoot Her Sheriff Father

State Police said a woman tried to shoot her father, who is a county sheriff.

Troopers said they arrested Heather Hammond, 35, of Glencoe.  She's accused of pointing a gun at her father, Owen County Sheriff Zemer Hammond.

Investigators said the gun jammed.

Heather Hammond was taken to the Carroll County Detention Center.

State Police said she was charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment.
