Woman Accused Of Murdering Daughter, Granddaughter Pleads Not Guilty

Lillie Stanton, 48, pleaded not guilty to charges of murder in Clark County Circuit Court Thursday.
The woman accused of murdering her daughter and granddaughter pleaded not guilty in Clark County Circuit Court Thursday.

Police say Lillie Stanton, 48, stabbed her daughter, Danel Stanton, 23, and her granddaughter, Kaydence Miers, 22 months, to death on May 20th.

Officers say Stanton then tried to kill herself.

Police records indicate she admitted to killing them, and said it was because she was afraid Kaydence Miers' father would get more visitation time.

She will be in court again Nov. 13th.
