Highs will peak near 50 degrees this afternoon under a partly sunny sky.  Clouds will thicken tonight as lows dip to 34.  Saturday will be mostly cloudy, and rain showers will creep into southern Kentucky late in the day while most of the Bluegrass Region remains dry until the evening or overnight hours.  Early on Sunday morning, a rain / snow mix will likely change to snow, and accumulations are likely across most of the region for Sunday.  The hardest-hit areas will probably be southeast of Lexington, where several inches of snow will be likely by Sunday afternoon.  The storm will exit to the east on Sunday evening, and Presidents' Day will be mostly sunny and slightly colder than average.  The next storm system will arrive on Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, with rain and milder weather.  Colder air may arrive on the tail end of that system, and the final rain showers may mix with some snowflakes on Thursday of next week.
