Winds Rip Roof Off Louisville Hotel

Thursday night's storms ripped off part of the roof at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville.
As powerful storms moved through Kentucky on Thursday, winds ripped part of the roof off of a Louisville hotel.

Pictures show the extensive damage to the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Phillips Lane. Debris from the roof landed on, and damaged, some cars beside the hotel. ABC 36 meteorologist Lauren Jones says officially, winds reached 45 miles per hour in Louisville, but gusts could have been stronger.

Also in Louisville: two people died in a house fire. And firefighters think lightning could have caused that fire.
