Saturday, Main Street in Winchester turned into Beer Cheese Boulevard as festival goers enjoyed the local specialty.

The Beer Cheese Festival is one of the largest festivals in the commonwealth, and the only festival in the world to solely celebrate beer cheese. Both professional and amateur beer cheese producers offered up their finest concoctions to be tasted and judged by those in attendance and by a panel of judges, and the money raised in Winchester stays in Winchester.

"We raise money and then the money that we do raise is reinvested back into our downtown projects," festival chairperson Jenny Bailey told ABC 36. "We do a beautification program, we did a wall mural down off of Broadway there, we do a low-interest and loan program, so we reinvest it back into our downtown."

Winchester's Beer Cheese Festival is in its fourth year.
