U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is up for re-election in 2014, and still does not have a Democratic challenger.

The Tea Party endorsed McConnell this week, and he's raised a reported $12 million for his re-election campaign.

Some are praising him for his response to the IRS scandal.

Governor Beshear says Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is still considering challenging McConnell.

We reported environmental lawyer Tom FitzGerald is considering running.  FitzGerald says he spoke with Grimes this week, and neither has made a decision yet.

Beshear says some Democrats would rather run for Governor in 2015.

He also says it's just not fun to run against Mitch McConnell.

"Everybody knows the kinds of campaigns he runs.  We've experienced them over and over and over again.  I'm certainly going to continue to talk to people and try to make sure that we have a good candidate.  I think that Senator McConnell is vulnerable," said Beshear.

In a statement the Kentucky Republican party says:
"If Senator McConnell is really so vulnerable, why can't the Democrats come up with a candidate of even second-tier credibility to challenge him?"
