A year after a tornado ripped through West Liberty almost completely destroying the town, hundreds gathered on the anniversary at Morgan County High School to remember the tragic day and those that lost their lives.

A special ceremony was held from 5:47pm until 6:10pm, the exact time the tornado touched down in Morgan County.

Those from West Liberty say it's been a hard year having to virtually rebuild the entire town, but says everyone in the community is closer together now and stronger.

Mayor Jim Rupe says there's is still much work left to be done, but adds that the love and support from everyone will help in the healing process.
