Afternoon Update:

Showers and heavy downpours are continue to soak areas of the Blue Grass and Eastern KY today.  Be on the look out for ponding on the roadways.  An isolated thunderstorm is possible mainly to our south; however, I do not expect any severe weather.  Things should begin to dry out some by Tuesday with temps in the mid 70s for highs.

Make sure to join Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your forecast!

See you tomorrow morning for Good Morning Kentucky!

We're off to a cloudy start this first day of October with showers and a few isolated thunderstorm in our forecast.  Have you umbrellas with you all day long.  Additionally, we're anticipating the showers to continue throughout your Tuesday.  Temperatures today will be both rain-cooled and cloud-cooled in the low to mid 60s.  By Tuesday afternoon, temps should rebound some with the passage of a warm front back into the mid 70s.  I'm not forecasting any severe weather today, but we could see some pockets of heavy rainfall.  Our best chance for thunderstorms will be during the mid-afternoon.
