Afternoon Update:

Clouds and cool temps continue this afternoon with spotty showers in our forecast mainly in our western counties.  Into the evening and overnight hours, we're still anticipating for those clouds to dissipate some, giving way to more sunshine by your Thursday!

Join Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your weekend warm up!

Good morning!

Before you head out the door this morning, grab your rain gear! We're continuing to track areas of light showers, mist and drizzle, along with some patchy fog.  Through late morning, we'll hang on to the cloud cover and showers. Given the cool clouds in place, look for temps only in the upper 40s and low 50s for highs.  After dinner time tonight, I think we'll begin to see clear skies.  As skies clear, look for temperatures tumble to near freezing overnight and into tomorrow morning.  Though highs on your Thursday we'll only be in the low 50s, sunshine should dominate the day!

If you voted for warmer temperatures, looks like this weekend, your vote will pay off! Check out the video link to see where temperatures are teetering on the edge of 70 degrees!

Tracking showers on the radar this morning! More at 5AM on #GMK on @ABC36Lexington! http://t.co/WDFwN6Pv
