Snow Ends Early Saturday With Colder Air Returning

Early Weekend Update:

Snow showers will continue to taper off during your early morning hours of Saturday, with temperatures falling to around 14 degrees by daybreak Saturday.  With the quickly falling temperatures, there will be a chance for icy spots, especially on elevated surfaces.

SATURDAY: After morning low temperatures in the teens, Saturday afternoon will feature increasing sunshine with a high of only 27 degrees. If you’re heading to the UK vs. Florida game at 9pm at Rupp Arena, temperatures will be in the mid 20s on the way to the game, and lower 20s on the way home.

SATURDAY NIGHT: There will be a chance for a few more light snow showers Saturday night, with overnight low temperatures around 21 degrees by daybreak Sunday. Only a dusting is expected at this time.

SUNDAY: Sunday will remain chilly, with a high of 37 degrees and partly cloudy skies.

PRESIDENT’S DAY MONDAY: Temperatures will be around 45 for President’s Day Monday, with the chance for rain increasing by late in the day, as another cold front moves through.

NEXT WEEK: Temperatures continue to warm through next week with high temperatures around 50 degrees next Tuesday, with partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be back in the upper 50s and lower 60s by next Wednesday and Thursday. Rain chances will continue to linger Wednesday through Friday, as a warm front and cold front move through the region.
