Midnight Update:  The rain showers and thunderstorms have diminished for tonight.  With clearing skies and temperatures already falling into the upper 60s to around 70 degrees, we can expect to have some dense fog developing as we continue into early Thursday.  Another round of rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible late Thursday, with high temperatures around 86 degrees.

We will have scattered thunderstorms and rain showers this evening, with most of the rain activity diminishing through the overnight hours. More rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible for Thursday and Friday, as a cold front approaches and moves through the region. Temperatures look to remain in the mid to upper 80s through the extended forecast.

TONIGHT: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue into the evening hours, with heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds possible. Most of the rainfall diminishes by midnight, with generally partly cloudy skies. There will be some patchy dense fog developing into early Thursday as low temperatures fall to 68 degrees.

THURSDAY: We will have another warm and humid day, with clouds and rain chances increasing throughout the day. Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the afternoon and evening hours of Thursday as a cold front approaches the region.

THURSDAY NIGHT: A cold front will continue to move into the region, giving us the chance for lingering rain showers Thursday night into Friday morning. Overnight low temperatures will be around 67 degrees.

FRIDAY: Rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible once again on Friday as a cold front will be over Kentucky. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day, with high temperatures around 85 degrees.

WEEKEND: Right now the weekend is looking dry, with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies, and highs in the mid 80s.

NEXT WEEK: A warming trend will continue into early next week, as high pressure becomes centered over the U.S. East Coast, and our winds turn out of the south and southwest. Temperatures look to stay in the upper 80s early next week, with partly sunny skies. There will be a slight chance for some isolated thunderstorms each afternoon as well.
