Afternoon Update:

As of lunch time, temperatures out and about in the Blue Grass are only in the low 40s.  Sunshine will dominate our Tuesday with the numbers only warming a few more degrees into the mid 40s.

It's a chilly start to your Tuesday morning. Temperatures this morning are 30 - 40 degrees colder than yesterday at the same time.  With subfreezing temperatures in my areas, watch out for ice on the roadways.  Additionally, thick frost will also be a concern as you head out to your vehicles.  Lunchtime temperatures should be in the low 40s with autumn sunshine.  As we head into this afternoon, temperatures won't rebound much...we're forecasting mid 40s for highs.  Sunshine should dominate from start to finish this afternoon with another cold overnight in store.  Overnight temperatures will fall into the mid 20s once again, so be on the look out for another round of frost tomorrow morning.

Towards the end of the workweek, I'm expecting more mild temps to settle into our region.

See where mid 50s are back in the 7-day by clicking on the video weather link!

Look forward to seeing you at noon on ABC 36 for more!

Hard Frost on your windshield this morning. We're Clear & Cold too! More on @ABC36Lexington on #GMK. #KyWx. http://t.co/O6d4Dy6j
