Midnight Update:  We have had light rain showers along the I-75 corridor, moving from west to east.  We will continue to have light rain showers overnight, with a lull in the rain at times.  A weather disturbance is expected to move into the region on Wednesday, which will give us the chance for rain throughout the day.  The heaviest of the rain on Wednesday looks to be in Southern Kentucky, closer to Tennessee.  Rainfall amounts look to average between a half-inch or greater, depending on whether you have an embedded thunderstorm move over you.

You’ll need the umbrella as we look to have a messy midweek. We will have rain showers increasing throughout the overnight hours, with rain continuing into Wednesday. Drier conditions return for the end of the work week. Another round of rain comes back for the upcoming weekend.

Tonight: Rain showers will increase from west to east as we approach the midnight hour tonight, with more rain moving in for early Wednesday. Overnight low temperatures will be mild, with a low of 65 degrees.

Wednesday: We will have rain showers continuing throughout Wednesday, with heavy rainfall at times. Some thunderstorms may develop as well, with heavy rainfall and gusty winds the biggest threats. Wednesday will be a cooler day because of the clouds and rain, with a high of 78 degrees.

Thursday: Scattered rain showers will be possible Wednesday night into early Thursday. After morning low temperatures around 66 degrees, Thursday afternoon high temperatures will be around 82 degrees. A cold front will move through the area late Thursday, bringing some drier air, yet not much in the way of cooler air.

Friday: Partly sunny skies return for Friday with a high of 83 degrees, making for a nice end to the work week.

Weekend: Another round of rain showers will be possible for Saturday and Sunday as another cold front moves through late Saturday. Weekend high temperatures will be in the lower 80s with scattered rain showers for Saturday, and isolated rain showers for Sunday.
