Midnight Update:  We are looking at a very warm night, with muggy conditions.  Temperatures at 11pm have ranged from the lower 70s to around 80 degrees, with the heat index still in the lower 80s for the Lexington Metro area.  We expect to have only an isolated chance for rain overnight, yet rain chances will increase by late Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the Midwest United States.  There is an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms from the Lexington Metro area westward for Wednesday afternoon and evening as well.  A cold front will move through early Thursday, which will bring in drier, more pleasant air to the region.  By Friday morning, temperatures will be around 60 degrees!

Wednesday: A cold front will approach the region from the northwest late Wednesday, giving us the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening. Wednesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 89 degrees.

Wednesday Night: We will continue to have rain chances Wednesday night into early Thursday, as a cold front moves through the region. Overnight low temperatures will be around 69 degrees.
