Winter Weather Advisory In Effect For Saturday

Early Weekend Update:  Snow showers will continue for your Saturday, with light accumulations.  The best chance for accumulating snowfall will be south of I-64, where a dusting to 2" are possible.  Areas north of I-64 have a chance for a dusting to possibly one inch.  For your Saturday afternoon we'll have a high of 30 degrees, meaning that temperatures stay below freezing through the start of your weekend, and slick spots will continue to be a concern.  The chance for flurries will linger through late Saturday and into Sunday.  Sunday morning low temperatures start off around 21 degrees, with a Sunday afternoon high of 32 degrees.  Temperatures stay in the 20s and 30s through next week, with snow chances possible each day.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for portions of Central Kentucky tonight through Saturday, with a dusting to 2” of snow possible. More snow showers will be possible through next week, with cold temperatures continuing.

TONIGHT:... Clouds will increase tonight, with snow showers developing for the early morning hours of Saturday. Overnight low temperatures will fall to 15 degrees, so any snow that falls could accumulate quickly and cause slick spots.

SATURDAY: The best chance for snow showers will be during the morning hours of Saturday, with a dusting to two inches possible. Snow will taper off during the afternoon, with lingering flurries possible through Saturday night. Saturday high temperatures will be around 30 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Skies will remain mostly cloudy Saturday night into Sunday morning, with overnight low temperatures around 21 degrees.

SUNDAY: Another chance for light snow will return for Sunday, with a dusting possible. Sunday high temperatures will be around 32 degrees.

NEXT WEEK: Temperatures remain cold into next week, with highs in the 20s and 30s. Monday will feature cloudy skies with a high of 25 degrees, and the chance for snow showers. There is a chance for some light snow on Tuesday, with a high of 28 degrees. Wednesday will feature mostly cloudy skies, with a high of 33 degrees and more snow chances. With more snow chances and temperatures staying at or below freezing through the extended forecast, the concern for icy surfaces will continue through next week.
