Warm Temperatures For The Start of October

Midnight Update:  Clouds have broken up across the region, with partly cloudy skies overnight and low temperatures around 57 degrees.  Tuesday will be a nice first day of October with high temperatures around 79 degrees, and partly sunny skies.  Temperatures will be back in the lower 80s Wednesday through Saturday.  There will be a chance for a few spotty rain showers Wednesday and Thursday, with a better chance for rain late Saturday into Sunday, as a cold front moves into the region.

We will have a warm start to October, with above normal temperatures, partly cloudy skies, and the chance for some spotty rain showers. The Fall Wildfire Hazard Season runs October 1st through December 15th, with no outdoor burning from 6am to 6pm, in or within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland.

TONIGHT: We will have partly cloudy skies across the region tonight, with overnight low temperatures falling to 57 degrees. There will be a chance for some patchy fog by early Tuesday as well.

TUESDAY: We will have a warm start to October, with above normal temperatures continuing this week. We will have partly cloudy skies, with an afternoon high temperature of 79 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT: We will have mostly clear skies Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with overnight low temperatures around 60 degrees by daybreak Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy skies will continue for Wednesday, with the chance for an isolated shower. Wednesday high temperatures will be around 82 degrees.

THURSDAY: The chance for a few rain showers and thunderstorms continues for Thursday, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 81 degrees.

FRIDAY and WEEKEND: Keeneland begins this weekend, with temperatures about ten degrees above normal, as high temperatures will be in the lower 80s for Friday and Saturday. Friday looks to stay dry, yet a cold front will approach on Saturday, and move through the region Saturday night into Sunday morning. The cold front will bring a chance for some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, late Saturday into Sunday. Sunday will be a little milder, with a high of 77 degrees.
