Midnight Update: We will continue to have warm and muggy conditions overnight with low temperatures around 69 degrees. There will also be some patchy fog developing for early Friday morning, especially for Southern and Eastern Kentucky. Friday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies, with the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Drier air will move into the region for late Friday, with Saturday morning low temperatures around 64 degrees. Saturday will be a nice start to the weekend, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures only around 80 degrees. There will be a chance for an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm throughout the weekend. The Quaker State 400 at the Kentucky Speedway, looks like a pleasant evening for racing, with temperatures around 75 degrees at the start of the race, and around the upper 60s to near 70 degrees for the end of the race. Sunday will remain below normal for high temperatures, with a high of 79 degrees. There will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy skies for Sunday with the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms. An upper level disturbance will stall over the region for early next week, which will give us lingering isolated rain chances for the start of July. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s for early next week, with a high of 85 degrees for the 4th of July next Thursday.
