Rain & Strong Winds Possible Sunday

Early Weekend Update:  We will start off your weekend mild, with partly to mostly cloudy skies, and a high of 65 degrees for your Saturday afternoon.  There will be a chance for a spotty rain shower, yet most of us look to stay dry.  The chance for a few rain showers will continue into early Sunday morning, with an overnight low temperature of 55 degrees.  Sunday will be even milder, with a high of 70 degrees.  Rain showers and winds will increase Sunday afternoon into Sunday night, as a strong cold front approaches and moves through the region.  Kentucky is under an enhanced risk for strong to severe winds late Sunday, with widespread damaging winds possible.  Cooler air returns for Monday with increasing sunshine and a high of 55 degrees.  Colder, Canadian air continues to move into the region for midweek, with highs in the mid to upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.  Low to mid 50s return for next Thursday and Friday, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Milder temperatures and more rain chances return this weekend, with strong to severe winds possible for late Sunday into Sunday night.

TONIGHT: Rain showers will continue to move through the region this evening, with lingering rain chances overnight. With southerly winds and cloudy skies, overnight low temperatures will only fall into the mid 40s, which will still make for a chilly night, yet not as cold as this past week.

SATURDAY: We will start off the weekend with mostly cloudy skies, and the chance for a few isolated rain showers Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon high temperatures will be around 65 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy skies will continue Saturday night, with overnight low temperatures around 55 degrees. A spotty rain showers may develop by early Sunday morning.

SUNDAY: Even warmer temperatures return on Sunday, with a high of 70 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies will continue for Sunday, with a better chance for rain by late in the day as a strong cold approaches Kentucky. Rain and gusty winds will be possible throughout the day Sunday, yet the heaviest rain and gustiest winds looks to be Sunday evening into Sunday night. There is an enhanced risk for strong to severe winds Sunday evening into early Monday morning, as the strong cold front moves through.

NEXT WEEK: A few rain showers may linger early Monday morning, with cooler and drier air returning Monday afternoon. Monday high temperatures will be around 55 degrees. Even colder temperatures return Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the mid to upper 40s, with mostly sunny skies.
