Midnight Update:  As of 11pm, temperatures have been falling into the low/mid 40s for areas south and east of Lexington.  Thanks to clearing skies and lighter winds, our temperatures will continue to fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s across the region.  The best chance for seeing any frost early Tuesday, looks to be in the low lying areas of Eastern Kentucky.  With mostly sunny skies and southerly winds, temperatures will get much warmer for Tuesday afternoon, with highs in the mid 70s.

There is still a chance for frost tonight in low lying areas of Eastern KY, yet we will have a nice warming trend for the rest of the week. Rain chances will return late in the week and continue into early next week.

Tonight: We will hav...e chilly conditions tonight, yet it will not be as cold as earlier this morning (when lows were in the 30s), as winds turn more southerly. Overnight will remain mostly clear with low temperatures around 43 degrees by early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday: A warming trend will return Tuesday through the end of the work week, with high temperatures around 76 on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies.

Tuesday Night: Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be milder, with overnight low temperatures around 59 degrees, as a warm front passes through the region.

Wednesday: Temperatures will be even warmer for Wednesday, with highs around 82 degrees, thanks to southwest winds from high pressure centered along the Southeast U.S. coast. We look to remain dry for Wednesday, with mostly to partly sunny skies.

Thursday & Friday: Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees for Thursday and Friday, with the chance for late day scattered showers and thunderstorms. A cold front will stall north of Kentucky for the end of the week, which will be the focus to providing some late day rain showers and thunderstorms.

Weekend: Saturday and Sunday high temperatures will be around 80 degrees, with lingering chances for late day scattered showers and thunderstorms.
