Midnight Update: The few rain showers and thunderstorms we had around Monticello and Williamsburg this Thursday evening, have diminished. There is a little patchy fog developing over Southern Kentucky already. We will start off your Friday with mostly sunny skies, and partly sunny skies by the afternoon, with a few isolated showers and thunderstorms developing by the late afternoon and early evening hours. The rest of the week will feature a few isolated thunderstorms each afternoon, with a warming trend through the weekend. The summer solstice is officially Friday, June 21st at 1:04 a.m.
Thursday Night: A few isolated thunderstorms will be over Southern Kentucky this evening, with most of the activity diminishing 10pm. Mostly clear skies will continue for the rest of tonight, with an overnight low temperature around 64 degrees by Friday morning.
Friday: Friday is officially the first day of summer, with the summer solstice at 1:04 a.m. For our first day of summer, we’ll have a high of 87 degrees, with an isolated thunderstorm possible by the late afternoon and evening hours.
Friday Night: There will be a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms during the evening hours, with mostly clear skies overnight Friday into Saturday. Overnight low temperatures will be around 67 degrees.
Weekend: Partly sunny skies will be around for the weekend, with temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. There will be a chance for some isolated, late day thunderstorms for both Saturday and Sunday, yet most of the viewing area is expected to stay dry.
Next Week: Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees for early next week, with the chance for a few late day thunderstorms continuing.
