Wintry Mix Tonight, Yet Milder For Friday

Midnight Update:  We will continue to have the chance for scattered, light rain showers, with a little freezing rain possible.  Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower 30s, with most air temperatures staying above freezing.  However, the ground temperatures in a few locations is around freezing, which may lead to a few icy spots.  After the chance for a few spotty rain showers early Friday morning, we will have mostly cloudy skies through the afternoon, with a high of 50 degrees.  A good soaking rain will move through early Saturday, as a cold front moves through, with some clearing skies by late Saturday.  Saturday high temperatures will be around 48 degrees early, with temperatures falling into the mid 40s by the afternoon hours.  Sunday will feature more sunshine, with high temperatures around 45 degrees.

A wintry mix of rain, sleet, and snow will develop this evening and continue through the overnight hours as mainly a light rain. A few icy spots will be possible on untreated surfaces during the overnight hours, along with a light dusting on grassy surfaces. Milder temperatures and mostly cloudy skies return for Friday.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will fall into the lower 30s tonight, with rain mixed with sleet and snow. This will lead to a few icy spots for area roadways and surfaces.

FRIDAY: After the chance for some isolated freezing rain in the early morning hours, skies will remain mostly cloudy through the day. Friday afternoon high temperatures will be milder, with a high of 50 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: A weather disturbance and cold front will approach from the west, keeping our skies cloudy, with the chance for a few rain showers developing into early Saturday morning. Overnight low temperatures will be around 45 degrees.

SATURDAY: Widespread rain showers will move into the region Saturday morning, with a half-inch to inch of rainfall possible. High temperatures will be around 48 degrees, with drier conditions and mostly cloudy skies into the afternoon.

SUNDAY: We will have more sunshine for Sunday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 45 degrees.

NEXT WEEK: A few weather disturbances will approach the region next week, bringing the chance for a little wintry mix and snow, with temperatures in the upper 40s for Monday and lower 40s for Tuesday. Colder temperatures return midweek, with highs in the 30s Wednesday and Thursday, with the chance for snow.
