Midnight Update:  A cold front has moved through Kentucky this evening, with cooler and drier air being ushered throughout the Bluegrass State tonight.  We will have mostly clear skies overnight with low temperatures falling to around 55 degrees.  There may be a little patchy fog for early Wednesday, especially for Eastern Kentucky, where more rainfall has fallen today.  Wednesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 75 degrees, with mostly sunny skies.  Wednesday night into Thursday morning looks to be our coolest morning of the week, with low temperatures around 52 degrees, and some rural spots falling into the upper 40s.  Temperatures remain in the upper 70s for Thursday and Friday, with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies.  The chance for a few rain showers returns for this weekend with highs around 80 degrees.

A cold front will move through this evening, bringing an end to the rain overnight, with cooler and drier air returning for midweek.

TONIGHT: Cool, Canadian air will make a return to the Bluegrass state tonight, with clearing skies and overnight low temperatures around 55 degrees by Wednesday morning.

WEDNESDAY: As the kids get geared up to head off to school in the morning, they may need a light jacket while waiting for the school bus, as morning low temperatures will be in the mid 50s. Wednesday afternoon will feature mostly sunny to partly sunny skies with a high of 75 degrees.

THURSDAY: High pressure over the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley will continue to give us more of a northerly flow throughout the day, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 77 degrees, which is about 10 degrees below normal for this time of the year!

FRIDAY: Partly sunny skies will be around for Friday, with a high of 79 degrees. There will be a slight chance for a few rain showers on Friday, with the best chance for Eastern Kentucky.

WEEKEND: Mostly cloudy skies and the chance for scattered rain showers return for the weekend. Some weather models are showing a developing tropical system coming out of the Gulf of Mexico and into the Southeast United States by this weekend. Depending on the exact path, or if this system is even able to materialize, we could have more or less in the form of rain chances this weekend. High temperatures for Saturday and Sunday look to be around 80 degrees.
