Frigid Temperatures Continue This Week

Midnight Update:
Temperatures are going to be ice cold tonight, with clear skies and light winds.  Overnight low temperatures will be in the upper teens to lower 20s across the region Wednesday morning, so bundle up in the morning.  Wednesday will feature mostly sunny skies with an afternoon high of only 35 degrees.  A dry, cold front will move through late Wednesday, bringing the chance for a few flurries across Kentucky, with another blast of cold, arctic air moving in.  Thursday morning will start off in the lower teens, with only a high of 26 degrees, despite mostly sunny skies!  Friday will feature increasing clouds throughout the day, with a high of 37 degrees.  Another weather disturbance will move through the region this weekend, bringing the chance for a cold rain on Saturday, changing to a rain-snow mix or snow into Sunday.  Saturday high temperatures will be around 39 degrees, with a high of 31 degrees for Sunday.

The frigid temperatures will continue this week, with a chance for some flurries Wednesday night. Another chance for rain and snow returns for the weekend, with below normal temperatures continuing.

TONIGHT: We will have mostly clear skies overnight into Wednesday morning as high pressure builds into the region, with overnight low temperatures falling to 17 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies continue for Wednesday, with a cold high temperature of 35 degrees.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A dry, cold front will swing through Wednesday night, bringing colder air into the region, and the chance for a few flurries. Overnight low temperatures will fall to around 12 degrees by early Thursday morning!

THURSDAY: Colder air will move in on Thursday, with afternoon high temperatures around 26 degrees. Skies will stay mostly sunny.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies will develop for Friday, with a chilly high temperature of 37 degrees.

WEEKEND: Another weather disturbance will move into the region Saturday into Sunday, giving us the chance for rain and snow. Saturday high temperatures will be around 39 degrees, with a better chance for a cold rain. Colder air is expected to move in Saturday night into Sunday, changing the rain over to snow. Sunday morning low temperatures will be around 27 degrees, with a Sunday high of only 31 degrees.
