Warming Trend Through The Weekend

Warming Trend Through The Weekend

We will have a nice start to the weekend, with highs in the lower 80s and the chance for some afternoon thunderstorms. The heat and humidity increases Sunday through next week.
Early Saturday Update:  We will continue to have clouds building in for the start of the weekend, as an upper level disturbance moves from the Appalachian Mountains westward.  This upper level disturbance will also give us a chance for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours of Saturday and Sunday.  The humidity will also be increasing by the latter half of the weekend.  The summertime heat and humidity will continue through next week, with heat indices approaching the mid to upper 90s by Midweek, with temperatures in the lower 90s.

We will have a warming trend returning this weekend with isolated rain chances.

Tonight: We will continue to have mostly clear skies overnight into Saturday morning, with low temperatures around 61 degrees.

Saturday: A weak weather disturbance will move by the region, which will give us a little more cloud cover through the afternoon, with a slight chance for an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm for the afternoon and evening. Saturday will be partly sunny overall, with a high of 83 degrees.

Sunday: A warming trend will continue for the end of the weekend, with partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 88 degrees. There will be a chance for an isolated rain shower Sunday afternoon and evening, with higher humidity as well.

Next Week: Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s for next week, with the chance for a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day. The higher humidity will also give us heat indices in the mid to upper 90s, making it feel like the “dog days of summer.”
